Purpose
The
purpose of the Cleveland Green Building Coalition (GBC) is to
generate broad support for various individual efforts, build momentum,
and advance the green building agenda in Cleveland and Northeast
Ohio through education, consultation, and cooperation. The Cleveland
GBC is an umbrella organization for various building industry
interest groups, including those involved in residential, commercial,
institutional, and industrial green building. The Cleveland GBC
acts as a clearinghouse for information on green building activities
in Cleveland and other cities, as well as gives Cleveland-area
individuals opportunities to meet with colleagues and potential
clients interested in green building. Additionally, the GBC works
to coordinate green building efforts within Cleveland and to aid
and promote specific projects.
The
Cleveland Green Building Coalition is a member-based nonprofit
organization. We invite your participation in our numerous educational
and networking opportunities. We have regular meetings, as well
as speaker events, and training workshops for Cleveland area design
professionals.
Strategic
Plan
The
Cleveland Green Building Coaliton has recently completed our three
year strategic plan. Facilitated by Sally Parker of Currere and
funded by the George Gund Foundation, the strategic plan is the
organization’s map to successfully fostering Northeast Ohio’s
green building movement. The plan outlines the transition from
strictly focusing on awareness and education to adding adoption
and implimentation as focus areas. To view the plan in PDF format,
