Who should attend?
This workshop is for landscape architects, architects, designers,
developers, building managers and others interested in the advantages
and applications of green roofs.
Course Objectives
The workshop will help attendees undestand the economic, environmental,
and social benefits of green roofs (from public and private perspectives),
as well as technical considerations and current trends in green
roofs.

About the Instructors
Katrin Scholz-Barth
Ms. Scholz-Barth is a nationally recognized expert in Green Roof
technology, and has helped this design phenomenon to gain momentum
in the United States. She leads efforts in ecological education,
planning and design, demonstrating in her work how Green Roofs
can become an integral and performing building element to protect
watersheds while increasing biodiversity and quality of living
especially in urban areas.
Colin Cheney
Colin Cheney graduated Magna Cum Laude with an honors degree in Environmental Studies from Brown University. He is currently the Project Director of the Earth Pledge Green Roofs Initiative, where he coordinates activities that support the mission of easing environmental and human health problems through green roof infrastructure development in New York City.
