Who should attend?
The target audience for this module includes building owners, consulting engineers in the building design industry, architects, commissioning services providers and green building project managers. Firms who want to become commissioning service providers will learn the basic LEED requirements and will get information on the extensive continuing education opportunities for commissioning. Owners will gain an understanding of the mandatory and optional commissioning requirements so they can better plan their next LEED project. Architects and project managers will be better able to organize LEED projects after they know these basic requirements.
Objective:
All participants will be introduced to the forms and submittal requirements for commissioning to LEED standards, with an emphasis on how to make these submittals as simple and brief as possible. The logistics of choosing commissioning service providers are reviewed with an eye towards choosing those closest at hand and those who can fit into the project the easiest and quickest. This course helps interpret the requirements of the LEED program so that both LEED and the owner get what they want: a LEED certified building.
